Q: Do you think public transportation, such as buses, should be free for everyone?

I can see why some people might answer this question negatively. In my view, however, there are several reasons why it is my feeling that public transportation should be free.

For one thing, these days many people are worried about the environment. It is well known that public transportation is better for the environment than private cars because it uses less fossil fuel per person. As a result, in order to reduce pollution levels, I fell the government should make buses, subways, and streetcars free for everyone to use.

For another thing, I read that public transportation is safer than other methods of transportation, especially private cars. If people could use buses and subways for free, more people would probably use them. This would probably result in a reduction in the number of people injured in traffic accidents.

To sum up, for the reasons I have given, it is my belief that public transportation should be free for everyone. I hope that this happens sometime in the future, although I think that such a change in the law is rather unlikely.
