할머니-스토리텔러: 얘들아, 이야기 시간이다. 어서와라. 이건 까이유가 세살 때 일이지. 오늘의 이야기는 ‘목욕은 재미있어’ 란다.

까이유: 싫어요.

엄마: 목욕할 시간이야. 농담 아니다, 까이유. 너랑 장난 하는 거 아니야.

할머니: 까이유는 목욕하기 싫었어.

엄마: 어디있지? 대체 어디 간 거야? 까이유가 어디있지? 여기있구나, 까이유. 자 목욕하자.

까이유: 목욕하기 싫어요. 너무 뜨거워요 엄마. 나무 차가워요 엄마.

아빠: 지금 어디 가는 거니?

까이유: 놀려고요!

아빠: 나중에 놀아라. 지금은 깨끗이 씻어야지.

까이유: 깨끗한거 싫어요. 싫어요! 씻는 거 재미없어!

엄마: 거품 목욕을 하자.

까이유: 싫어요.

아빠: 아프지도 않을텐데. 재미있는 거품 어떻니? 까이유.

까이유: 싫어요.

엄마: 손 좀 줘봐.

아빠: 재미있지 않니?

할머니: 갑자기 까이유는 오리인형이 갖고싶었어. 그리고 로지 방에 있는 오리인형이 떠올랐지.

아빠: 오 이런. 어서 돌아와.

까이유: 오리 인형이요. 오리가 거춤을 만들어요. 큰 거품을요.

엄마: 이것도 거품을 만들걸.

할머니: 목욕도 재미있다는 걸 알았어. 거품을 어떻게 만드는지도 알았지.

까이유: 보세요. 거품을 많이 만들 수 있어요.

아빠: 까이유가 어디있지?

까이유: 여기있어요. 오리 인형이 어디있지? 걱정마, 오리인형아. 내가 구해줄게. 엄마, 아빠 온통 젖었네요.

할머니: 까이유는 목욕이 물놀이 같다고 생각했어.

엄마: 까이유 이제 물기를 닦자.

까이유: 지금 말구요. 목욕 더 할래요.

엄마: 내일 또 목욕하면 되잖니.

까이유: 네. 거품 만들면서요.

할머니: 이렇게해서 까이유는 목욕을 좋아하게 됐단다.

Grandma-storyteller: Kids, I think we have time for a story, come on. This story happened when Caillou was three. Today’s story is called ‘Caillou in the bathtub’.
